Ari Brown, M.D., FAAP, is an award winning pediatrician and child health advocate.

Before entering the world of medicine, Dr. Brown completed a bachelor's degree in child development. She completed her general pediatric residency and fellowship in developmental pediatrics at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Brown is Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She works full-time in private practice at Capital Pediatric Group in Austin, TX. She has received numerous awards for her professional work, including Austin's Favorite Pediatrician in 2004, Profiles in Power from the Austin Business Journal, and the Texas Spirit Award from KVUE/ABC Affiliate Austin, in 2007.

Dr. Brown's passion to educate families about children's health led her to co-author the books, Baby 411: Clear Answers and Smart Advice for Your Baby's First Year (3rd Ed, Windsor Peak, 2008) and Toddler 411 (Windsor Peak, 2007). Her practical and reassuring style resonates with today's parents.

She has appeared on NBC's Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN, Dr. Phil, and regularly on the Rachael Ray Show, Surviving Motherhood and ABC News Now. She has been quoted in over one hundred national publications. She serves on the advisory board for Parents Magazine, co-hosts the Parents Magazine podcasts, and hosts a message board at their website, Parents.com.

She also advocates for children's health issues as a spokeswoman for the American Academy of Pediatrics, and as chair of the legislative committee for the Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
