Nine out of 10 Americans fall short of key nutrients in their diets – shortages that could put their health at risk. A serving of milk offers nine essential nutrients, and milk is the single greatest source of calcium, vitamin D and potassium in the American diet – no other food contributes more of these essential nutrients. One more serving of milk a day may help close the nutrient gap so you can build a strong family.

With the start of the New Year, the nation's milk processors are encouraging moms to pour one more serving of lowfat milk each day to help close the nutrient gap. Starting on 1/11/11 the National Milk Mustache 'got milk?'® Campaign will travel to 19 cities in one week giving away free servings of milk to help raise awareness of the important role milk plays in building strong families.
