CHILDREN

Children Swapping Milk for Soda
(06/2005)

A research abstract presented at the 2005 Experimental Biology scientific conference suggests that as children get older, they are drinking less milk and replacing it with soda and fruit drinks, which have become the number one source of sugar and calories in their diets.

But despite this decline in milk consumption, the study found that milk remains the number one source of several key nutrients in a teen's diet including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium

Studies suggest the nutrients in 3 glasses of lowfat or fat free milk a day can help maintain a healthy weight, plus the protein, along with exercise, helps build muscle for a lean body. So eat right, move more and milk your diet. Privacy Policy | Sitemap | Contact Us
