Helen Phillips is a 49-year-old mother of three that joined The Biggest Loser 7: Couples challenge at a weight of 257 pounds.

This outgoing and friendly mom always prioritized her friends and family before herself, which subsequently left her with little time and energy to invest in her own needs, especially pertaining to diet. Like many other busy moms, Helen found herself entangled in a routine of consuming fast food. It was, after all, the easiest solution to her busy schedule. But, very soon her weight gain began to hinder participation in activities she once loved. So, instead of going out hiking, Helen stayed in, watching the TV, accompanied by a bucket of ice cream. These eating habits only got worse until one day Helen decided it was time for a change and joined The Biggest Loser, with her daughter Shanon.
